Bond-ing in Montenegro-o-7.

When the final days came and went at TASIS, Kristin and my holiday began. And how better to start it than a free holiday?! We paid for our flights to Montenegro… then from then on we spent next to nada! One of Kristin’s students during the year had her parents invite us to their hotel. A four star 100m from their own beach on Becici. The owner picked us up in his BMW 4x4 (with rear view… bloody video camera for those tight squeezes!!! Holy cow!) and took us on the single and only road through their country from the dusty desert of Podgorica, through fairly deprived villages and beautiful nature reserves to the beach life of the infamous Montenegro. It so isn’t how it is portrayed in the latest “Casino Royale”… but what the heck?! We felt like a Bond couple when we arrived and we shown to the top floor corner room with 2 balconies… s(w)uite!

And the look on the 2’s faces when the beach guy kicked them off OUR loungers on the front row of the beach that afternoon! Nice.

“Sunday, you will come on our yacht.” And that we did!..

We spent some time in Budva – a mini-Dubrovnik walled castle filled with shops and cafes, topped off with a superb restaurant with 270 degree views of the water.

We spent our last evening there and got ready for our 3am transfer to the airport.
