New Skype Packages - My Guide for YOU!

Only to numbers with prefix 01 and 02, connection fee and fair usage policies apply

So... you buy Skype Pro and get a UK Skype In number (EU30 and you get a discount (unsure what amount... says the following:
:£16 discount on SkypeIn numbers - people can call you at local rates - but only in selected countries):

In what countries are SkypeIn numbers available?

SkypeIn numbers are currently available in the US, UK, France, Hong Kong, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Estonia, Australia, Brazil and Japan.

We plan on to add more numbers and locations at a later date but do not have a specific timeline as to when numbers might be added. Click here for updates:

So you would pay: £22.08 per year for Skype Pro and you would get:
Free UK landline calls (but you would pay a connection fee of 3.3p/call)
Free Voicemail
£9.60 phone credit for that year in total (making rental equate to £12.48)

Benefits for using Skype credit calls:
Cheap sms to all countries - around 4.5-6p/text (18p from my mobile) and you can change settings so when they reply it goes to your mobile

Cheap international calls
, 1.4p to Italy/Australia, 20p to Italian mobile, 13p to Australian mobile

People can call you at a national rate/from their mobile minutes for free
from the country you set your SkypeIn number as e.g. set it in UK if you are in Italy/Australia

Plus you would have to now pay (they've upped their prices:) £34/year for your UK Skype In number: minus your £16 discount = £18/year

So total costs would be 18+12.50
=£30.50 (£40 if you add the phone credit)

=£2.54 (£3.33) /month

Worth it for you?! Worth thinking about if you are away from home, have internet but don't want to shell out on phone line rental and a phone package to make your calls cheaper.

Of course if everyone you know has internet back home - then call with Skype for free!!!

But this is to allow for cheaper calls when one of you is away from the computer for calls and texting.
